I learned at a young age that the discipline found in the weight room reflects the discipline required to succeed at life. An Orange County native, I graduated from Mission Viejo High School in 2008 and then spent two years as the starting center at Orange Coast Junior College, before eventually heading to West Texas A&M to continue my education and athletic career.

Weighing 310 lbs at one point, I am very aware of the daily struggles that being overweight causes. I remember struggling to find clothes that fit, therefore my entire wardrobe was sweatpants and oversized t shirts. I was always self-conscious, and uncomfortable in my own skin. In the summer of 2011 after wrapping up my final year of College football, I returned home from West Texas A&M on a journey that few believed would be possible. To go from severely overweight to ripped!

The following 16 months I faced the same highs and lows that my clients face when transforming their lives. I had the issue of starting and stopping & I experienced a lot of trial and error. But eventually I found a routine that worked best for me, and the weight started dropping systematically. By the end of 2012, I had lost over 100 lbs.

After staying in shape for over 2 years, I pushed my limits further and competed in two regional bodybuilding competitions earning a national qualification. And in January 2015, I earned my first certification as a NESTA Personal Fitness Trainer, and began independently training clients in Orange County. I’ve earned additional credentials over the years that has certified me to work with a wide population. Most importantly, the CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist) & CSPS (Certified Special Population Specialist). A CSPS specializes in personal training of individuals with a wide range of conditions and or disorders. This includes: cardiovascular & metabolic conditions/disorders, pulmonary & musculoskeletal conditions/disorders, neuromuscular & auto immune disorders. This credential also certifies me to personal train youth, elderly, individuals with cancer, and female specific conditions (pregnancy, postpartum, peri & post menopause). I’ve acquired over 500 hours of practical experience working with special populations.

I firmly believe that if I can do it, anyone can. I have dealt with, and keenly remember, the struggles my clients deal with, which allows me to be a better guide for everyone I work with. My goal is to help you through your own journey, and share the principles and discipline required to transform your fitness, in order to transform every facet of your life.
